ABOUT SANDRA

SANDRA'S LEGACY

Sandra Kae Yellow Robe was a devoted family woman who always prioritized her loved ones. She was born and raised in Mitchell, South Dakota by a single mother of four and later moved to Rapid City, South Dakota where she graduated from Stevens High School and met her husband, Luke Yellow Robe.

Sandra's unconditional love for her family, protective instincts, and dedication to cultural identity are a legacy that we honor by continuing her way of life and passing it on to her children. She believed in self-sustainability, standing up for what you believe in, and placing family above all else. Sandra's aspiration was for her family to live off the land through foraging, growing, and hunting. She naturally prioritized her family's physical, spiritual, and emotional needs and instilled in her children a respect for cultural identity and understanding of other cultures.
